A new yummy find!!!!

I found these Fiber One muffins at the grocery store the other day.  They are 3 WW points and are so good.  You keep them in the freezer and when you are ready to eat them you pop them in the microwave for 30 secs and its a wonderful delight.  The chocolate chips and banana mixture is wonderful especially warm.

Body Shots

This was me during winter break when I was at home.... 253.6lbs of me

This is me now (sorry if the pics are bad) 226.6lbs of me.

What do you think?  Can you tell any differences?

Cafe Blackadder

My friend Kelly and I had a little date day and we tried a new restaurant here in Warrensburg (Cafe Blackadder).  Oh was it good!!!!  It was so good that I forgot to take pictures of our sandwiches and soup but I do have pics of the cucumber water and the lovely dessert.

The food was sooooooooo good and light.  I did not want my food to end!  The lady changes her menu almost everyday to have something new and refreshing on it.  Kelly and I decided to go again before we graduate and I promise to take pics of our entrees.  In the mean time here are the pics that I did remember to take.

Check out their website: Cafe Blackadder

Thats my lovely friend Kelly!  Isn't she cute?!  The background is the cafe.  Its so pretty, relaxing and hip!  I think next time I come I'm going to sit on the bar stools lol

This was our cucumber water.  You should try it some time.

This was our dessert we had.  It was a banana cake and it was beyond delicious and I don't even like banana flavored things.

So if you are ever in Warrensburg, Missouri I suggest you check this lovely place out.

My first time grilling fish!!!!

Doesn't it look good?!  Well it smells good.  Yesterday I went to the grocery store and bought all types of spices and decided to cook the tilapia I had in my freezer.  The spices I used for this batch was herbs, garlic, and wine (it was a packet).  I put it on my George Foreman grill and now its in my fridge because I am bout to go to my aerobics class but I can't wait to eat some of it for dinner!!!!!  I will give you my review of it and the points after I come back.

Ok my tilapia was banging!!!!! And it was only 2 points!!!!! Holler! I am so proud of myself for making it.

I tried a new fitness class today and man oh man am I tried.  I have concluded that all fitness instructors are crazy!!!!!  He had us run up and down the stairs like 12 times while carrying weights and that was just the beginning of the workout.  Though I struggled throughout the class, I will be there again on Friday.

If my life had a soundtrack.......

This is truly the story of my life lol. Trying to wait patiently for love but sometimes it can get hard.

Sometimes we just have to pamper ourselves......

You know you like my new picture!!!!!  So I went to a spa program that a resident put on and it was so soothing and fun.  She made a facial mask out of natural products and you know I had to try it out. LOL well it was wonderful and my skin felt so smooth after I washed my face.

Here is the Recipe:

"Best Facial Mask to Smooth the Skin"

Banana (over-ripe).....1/2
Avacado (over-ripe)....1/2
Cucumber (chopped)....1 TBSP.
Yogurt....1 TBSP
Olive Oil....1 TBSP

(I usually triple the recipe when doing for a group of people.)

Mix all the ingredients and process them in a blender.
Apply a thick layer and leave for 30 min.
Wash with lukewarm water, then splash with cold water.

Spinach and Feta Pasta

So I made this as well for the weekend and it was cool...... Lol I think I'm just use to more flavor in my pasta.  So I am thinking about putting a pesto mix with it.  I will have to let you know how many points it goes up after that.

servings | 4
estimated POINTS® values per serving | 5
course | Main Meals

2 tsp olive oil (garlic flavor. If you don't have this add 1 tsp minced garlic to plain olive oil)

1/2 tsp Salt

Red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)

1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled or chunk

4 cups whole wheat pasta, any shape

1 package grape tomatoes (sliced in halves)

2 packages pre-washed, fresh spinach

Boil water and cook pasta according to instructions. Set aside.

Heat Olive Oil and garlic in a large skillet.

Add both packages of spinach and saute until wilted, about 4 minutes. You might need to do this in batches as spinach is high volume before it wilts. Add salt.

Add tomatoes and saute for a few minutes.

Drain mixture best you can and transfer to a serving bowl. Mix in feta cheese.

Serve over pasta. Serving size is 1 cup pasta and 3/4 cup spinach mixture.

Add more salt, to taste, and chili flakes, if desired.

Special Notes
This can be enjoyed the next day hot or cold with pasta.

To save 3 points per serving, omit pasta and enjoy alone. It is 2 points per serving and can also be added to an omelette or over brown rice.

Birthday Challenge

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo my 24th bday is on Sept. 21 and I have always wanted to be healthy by my birthday. I decided today why don't I start a challenge for myself and so on my Birthday I can truly CELEBRATE!!!!!!!

In my eyes my 24th birthday means alot! I will be at my new big girl's job, new city and state, its the year before a milestone (25), and 24 is just a neat number :o)

So the challenge for myself is to lose 2lbs a week leading up to my birthday. There is 23 weeks until my birthday so that means losing 46lbs by Sept. 21.... I think I can do it.

With every challenge you need a plan of attack right?! So with my plan of attack I want to break it down every 4 weeks.

Plan of Attack

April 7-May 4(1st 4 weeks)
-I have a huge jug so I want to drink 2 of them a day
-continue with my running program (3 more weeks of this)
-3 increments of 20 minute workouts
-3-4 workouts a week
-2 servings of fruit a day
-2 servings of veggies a day
-stay with in my weight watchers points
-try not to use weekly allowance
-more wraps less bread
-drink water b4 each meal

So I think this is a good start for my first 4 weeks.... I can do this!

Motivational quote:

"Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't, I give myself reasons why I can."

I can and will lose 46lbs by my bday. NO EXCUSES!

Progress not Perfection

So these past 2 weeks the scale has been going the wrong way and I ended up gaining 1 pound. Instead of getting upset or stress I decided to do something about it. During my Weight Watchers meeting I decided to make a list of things that I wanted/needed to change to see the scale go the right way. Here is my list:

-ask for help
-workout twice a day
-track everything
-more fruits less bread
-cook more for myself
-when I want to eat something- do something else (like homework)
-walk outside
-try new recipes
-positive thinking
-take the stairs
-reward myself outside of weight loss
-drink 32oz/more water
-pack lunch-healthy snacks
